Zapier and Make vs Don't Interrupt: status without building workflows
Zapier and Make can do it if you build a workflow for every meeting. Don't Interrupt is the ready-made version, with Do Not Disturb, presence and rules included.
Zapier and Make can do it if you build a workflow for every meeting. Don't Interrupt is the ready-made version, with Do Not Disturb, presence and rules included.
Zapier can set a Slack status and a Teams status from a Google Calendar trigger, and Make can set a Slack status, but you build, run and pay for each workflow yourself, and the free plans check your calendar every 15 minutes. Don't Interrupt is a rules engine built for this job, with Do Not Disturb, presence, working hours and rules included.
When Zapier and Make makes sense. Zapier and Make make sense if you already automate in them and want your status to react to more than a calendar. For a calendar-driven status, you would be building and paying for what Don't Interrupt already does.
“I can't think of any other piece of technology that brought me as much mental peace at work as Don't Interrupt. All my Slack notifications are silenced when I'm in a meeting and I can pay attention to what is being discussed.”
